We provide FREE CPR and defibrillator confidence sessions - we have now trained 1328 people (from April 2023 - present). Click here to book

We fundraise for the provision of accessible defibrillators and bleed control kits - we currently have 30 defibrillators registered on The Circuit

We raise awareness of the importance of accessible emergency equipment and learning lifesaving skills

The Paul Alan Project was created to prevent more cardiac arrest deaths in the UK; by raising awareness of the signs of a cardiac arrest, providing basic life support training for FREE and raising funds for the provision and installation of public access defibrillators and bleed control kits; particularly concentrating on parks and residential areas where there is currently poor provision. We believe that training and emergency lifesaving cabinets should be accessible to everybody and that cost should never be a barrier for learning how to save lives and having the equipment available to do so.

The Resuscitation Council UK states that "early defibrillation within 3–5 minutes of collapse can increase survival rates by as much as 50-70%" hence why we are so passionate about their provision. With 80% of out of hospital cardiac arrests occurring in the home, we work tirelessly to install accessible defibrillators so that one day nobody will live more than 2 minutes away from one.

We also work with businesses and organisations to encourage them to house their existing internal defibrillators in accessible external cabinets for the benefit of the whole community.

The Project was registered in November 2022 as a CIC and transitioned to a registered charitable organisation on 12th September 2023. The Paul Alan Project was created after Clare, our Founder and Director was by her Dad's side when he died from a sudden cardiac arrest. You can read more about Clare's Dad and her inspiration for founding the Project here.

Please donate to our 24/7 public access defibrillator and bleed control kit fund to help us keep communities emergency safe. Each lifesaving cabinet costs £1600, including installation.

We cannot continue our work without your support - every penny and pound really does make a positive difference!
